All Things Fun! Presents....

Play For Keeps!

Play for Keeps is the name for the exclusive monthly game program created by the gang at All Things Fun!  Every Wednesday Evening All Things Fun! hosts our Open Game Night.  And every week we have dozens of folks that come in and share their games with new players.  (The only rule we have for Open Game Night is that the game must be in print and available through distribution.  This way if others fall in love with the game we can get more copies!)

Once a month during our Open Board Game Night we feature a single game, form groups and play the featured game.  The cool part here is that the winner of the game gets to take that game home with them.  We do charge a small entry fee to play (usually between $2-$5 depending on the game.)  It's a great way to learn a new game and have an evening of inexpensive fun.  And maybe you'll win and take home a new game!

The next Play For Keeps Game:

Wednesday, March19, 20 @ 6:30pm

Entry Fee: $3

Diplomacy

At the turn of the 20th century, the seven Great European Powers engage in an intricate struggle for supremacy. Military forces invade and withdraw, shifting borders and altering empires with subtle maneuvers and daring gambits.

Form alliances and unhatch your traitorous plots as you negotiate and outwit—in a delicate balance of cooperation and competition—to gain dominance of the continent! In Diplomacy, your success hinges not on the luck of the dice, but your cunning and cleverness.

For 2 - 7 players, for ages 12 and up.

Previous Play for Keeps Titles and Winners!

America in the 19th century: railroads are booming! Pioneer spirit and vision are everywhere. Everyone wants to be the first to build a railroad network across the country. Each player gets a set of five cities and must build a network (with the help of the other players) to connect all five cities. The first player to connect his five cities wins the round. The others lose points based on how far their unconnected cities are from the network. Who will be the first to connect his cities? Is it Casey, who was the first to build through the mountains to the west? Or Annie, who was the one who best made use of the others' tracks?

Can you break into the world's toughest computer systems? In Hacker, players sail through the Net, competing to invade the most systems. The more systems you crack, the more you learn, and the easier your next target is. You can find back doors and secret phone lines, and even crash the systems your rivals are using. But be careful. There's a Secret Service Raid waiting for you!

Other monsters may even devour your intended prey, whether for sustenance or to spite you. For 2 to 5 players; ages 10 & up.

No duck is safe in Sitting Ducks Gallery, where the object is to maneuver your ducks down the row and avoid getting in the line of fire!  Get your ducks out of the water before feathers start flying, because cards can target, shoot, or move the line in various ways!  If your birds of a feather can stick together and keep from getting hit, you could be the last Sitting Duck in the lake!
